Surge in accidents due to drunk driving –  Based on one of the studies of 2022, around 25% of all the deaths on the road in the EU are related to alcohol. Globally, there is an estimation of around 1.25 million annual road deaths, and in that, around 273,000 cases were thought to have at least one drunk driver. Accuracy Issue – There is an accuracy issue with breathalyzers, which is acting as a hindrance to the market. Generally, blood and urine samples are more accurate than breath tests, but they are not commonly used. The breathalyzer does not accurately measure the blood alcohol content (BAC) as it does not measure the driver's blood. It checks the alcohol content of the driver's breadth, which, according to scientific studies, has a 50% margin of error compared to a blood test.
