Ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging technique which helps to show the internal body structures with the echoes and reflections of ultrasound waves.  It is one of the most commonly used methods for animals.  For the animals, the frequency range of 1.5–15 megahertz (MHz) is used to create the images of body structures. The ultrasound is mostly sued for the evolution of soft tissues such as muscles, ligaments, and other body tissues. It is also widely being used to evaluate the musculoskeletal system in the body of animals. Due to its ease of use, the ultrasound now becoming the more and more frequent technology for the veterinary clinics for the diagnostics and other procedures in animals.

The ultrasound of animals helps to detect the verity of diseases and conditions such as abdominal pain, pancreatitis, enlarged abdominal organ, stones in the kidney or bladder, and portosystemic shunts in the animals.
